After working together for over 7 years, owners Trevor Clendenin of Sun Social SEO and Jon Pacific of Check-in Social Media, LLC have decided to combine their efforts and for the new Sun Digital Marketing, LLC, in Pompano Beach, FL.  ​

Our two companies have always offered similar services and we relied on each other for advice and support over the years. It came to a point where it just made sense to combine our efforts, cut some overhead and each focus on our strengths

The two friends met at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, the first week of their freshman year back in 1990. They pledged the same fraternity, X-Club, and both moved to Vail, Co after college.

Each went their own way after a few years but met back up as the both got an interest in web design. 

Check-in Social Media had evolved over the past 15 years from a sign company in Chicago, to a web design company in the NYC area. "After 3 or 4 years of hanging signs in freezing Chicago winters, I realized I could apply my graphic design skills to web design...where it's nice and warm," Pacific said. In 2008, with the growing popularity of Facebook, Pacific started consulting and managing his client's social media accounts. From there, it was obvious that SEO and PPC management would be essential skills to learn to round out their internet marketing services. 

Trevor Clendenin got his start using social media and blogs to promote local music and entertainment clients. He later spent 3 years as Director of New Media for the PBS affiliate in the US Virgin Islands before returning to school for a Master's in Visual Media in 2013. Immediately after graduation, Trevor moved to Pompano Beach, FL and started Sun Social SEO. 

The two began to coordinate on projects and sharing information on almost a daily basis. It quickly became clear that combining their efforts would not only cut out some overhead but improve the services the offer to their clients. Thus, Sun Digital Marketing was incorporated in December of 2015. 

Sun Digital Marketing offers web design, web hosting and security, search engine optimization, social media management, PPC management and local search marketing services.
